As you may have read in my introduction, I'm working on the school kit that @inedesmet made.
Here is a very nice picture of her work:
The goal of the kit is to make mycelium experiments in schools more accessible. For the students it's a two lesson-process, they work in groups to make a mycelium shape. At the same time they can learn about mycelium, ecology, sustainability, fungi, biodegradation... All the steps are explained on the box.
We're now looking at a couple of possibilities for the shapes they'll make; round or square flower pot, cuboid.... It would be great to use the cardboard of the packaging. Do you have any suggestions, things kids might like to make? Or ideas/questions on the kit itself? Shoot!
And for a flower pot:
Does anybody have experience in planting something in a mycelium pot? Or putting the whole flower pot in soil and let the mycelium biodegrade? Does it work well/what are the limitations?
Going full circle this way would be awesome.
All ideas are welcome!
I'll try to give regular updates on the kit.
