Hey there! I’m a designer from Texas and am just getting into hands-on experimentation after being interested in biofabrication for several months now. The past few weeks I’ve been (attempting to) work with mycelium and bioplastics. I initially started researching biofabrication as a new approach to unsustainable materials and manufacturing methods. One thing that excites me about biofabrication is its vibrant DIY community and their collaborative culture. I think biofabrication is compelling because of the community’s emphasis on self-initiated research and experimentation and their willingness to share findings with others.
