Hello everyone
I posted something a couple months ago about an experiment I was planning to do with mycelium and scent.
Because of some complications I started over again in July so here I am with some updates :slight_smile:
The experiment remains the same: trying to give mycelium a specific scent. Here is a list of herbs and other stuff I’ve added.

  • Coffee (LaVazza)
  • Curry
  • Star anise
  • Clove
  • Lenor unstoppable scent pearls - golden orchid
  • All-purpose cleaner Pine scent
  • Speculoos spices
  • Green tea
  • Jasmine tea
  • Thyme (dried)

I will also add some fragrances to the mycelium after the growing process

Cool! The speculoos smell is pretty interesting and very relatable. Maybe it’s a good way to increase the acceptance of mycelium. It’s still a bit obscure, so perhaps a familiar and “homey” smell would help. Are you planning to do a test with eg. a panel of people to test preferences?
